FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY BASICS

  • Every flash photograph is two exposures in one.

  • Fill flash can be used when subjects blacklist or side lit to eliminate silhouettes or shadows.

  • Flash exposure is not affected by shutter speed.

  • Flash illumination is dramatically affected by distance.

  • Your camera measures ambient light and flash illumination separately.

  • With automatic flash metering, the flash illumination is measured after the shutter button is pressed, and the flash output is adjusted accordingly.

  • Every SLR camera with a mechanical shutter box has a maximum flash sync shutter speed.

  • Harsh lighting, washed out subjects and red eye can be eliminated by using diffusers and light bouncing.

  • It is possible to change the order of when the flash fires using, "Rear Curtain Sync".

  • Removing the flash from the top of the camera help eliminate red eye and unflattering shadows.

1ST EVENT SHOOT

http://taylorscommercialphotographyblog.blogspot.com

This is my favorite photo from the event because it show such great emotion is the faces of the players.

This is my least favorite photo from this event because their eyes are closed and it cuts off their feet, other than that its a great image.

1. Her setting are perfect for the lighting and the event she's shooting.
2. she gets amazing emotions and great colors in all her shoots

3. Just be more mindful of their feet, arms, and tops of their heads cause sometimes she cuts them off weird in her photos
PAINTING REPRODUCTION

1. She recreated the picture like, amazing. Its captures everything the same: lighting, cropping, costume, etc.
2. I could tell she took time finding the costume and setting up the lights. It looked just like the painting.
6 STATION PEER REVIEW

I like this photo because I think the colors in the milk are just beautiful.

This photo is my least favorite because I feel like it's just a little out of focus.

1. Her photo get such great colors
2. Her photos with people have such great emotion.

1. She could improve with her cropping. It cuts off a little in a weird place on a few.
